Tor Coatings were asked to survey all properties at Old Pye Street for compliance with fire regulations and ensure that their responsibility to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRO). is met. The survey allowed us to ensure every aspect of the project was clearly understood and all defects were documented thoroughly.

It was agreed that Torrex Flameshield Ultimate-Eggshell was the ideal solution for the upgrading of the existing internal painted surfaces. Torrex Flameshield Ultimate Eggshell™ allows for the upgrade of existing painted surfaces to Class 0 fire rating, protecting against rapid spread of flame and providing a tough, hard wearing surface. This would also helped The Peabody Trust to comply with Section B2 of the Building Regulations and fulfil their obligations under the RRO.

The system was professionally applied by Bridgegap Limited, a trained Tor Partner, with site support from the Tor Coatings sales and technical service team. This partnership allowed us to provide the client with a 10 year Latent Defects guarantee covering both the product and its application.

The client received a detailed document with care and protection instructions to maximise the life cycle of the system, plus the option to benefit from our range of comprehensive guarantees.
